Honouring the New Moon

Introduction

If you're looking for a way to get in touch with your spiritual side and set some intentions, then a new moon ritual is just what you need. New moon ceremonies are all about manifesting what you want, and they can help you focus on the future and get clear about what's important to you. The best part about creating this sacred space is that it will last for days: Each day after the new moon, continue doing whatever rituals worked well for you during your first ceremony. Here's how to do it!

This is a time for setting intentions.

The new moon is a time for setting intentions. It's also a good time to clear the air, or just make your intentions known. And if you're looking for an opportunity to begin something new, this is a great night to make that happen!

New moon rituals are all about manifesting what you want.

To have a successful new moon ritual, you need to first ask yourself what you want to manifest in your life. For example, do you want to find a new job? Start dating someone? Or even move into a new home? Whatever your intentions are—the foundation of the ritual is all about them.

Once you've figured out what it is that you want to manifest, get creative with how you're going to make it happen! For example, if it's something big like starting a business or buying a house then try doing things like meditating on them at night (with candles around) or envision yourself already having what it is that came true for 6 months prior before making an official decision about whether this goal is possible for yourself (and also doing these things).

Start by creating a sacred space

The first step is to create a sacred space for yourself. You can do this by lighting a candle, burning some incense, creating an altar or shrine with images of deities that inspire you, ringing bells and chanting mantras.

In addition to creating a sacred space for yourself, another important element is creating one that is shared with others. We can share our spiritual practices with the people we love most in our lives--our children, siblings and parents--and they may even be inspired to adopt some of these practices themselves! If you don't have any family members who are interested in doing this with you right now (or if they aren't interested), then create your own group or community online where people gather together regularly for meditation sessions or other activities related to their spirituality. You could also just post about what you're doing on social media; even though there are no guarantees how many responses will come back from this medium it shouldn't matter since reaching out like this could still help build up confidence levels within oneself anyway! Lastly but certainly not least important here: Creating sacred spaces outside ourselves too."

The next step is to light some candles.

Candles are a symbol of light, hope, love and protection. Candles represent comfort, peace and joy. When you light a candle for yourself or someone you love it opens the door to those feelings within your heart. Think about what kind of energy you want to create in your life and then choose candles that represent those qualities for yourself or someone else.

If you're going to be lighting candles every day as part of this challenge we recommend getting some good quality ones because they will last longer than cheap ones - plus they smell lovely! We recommend using beeswax candles which have no additives like paraffin waxes do (paraffin is made from petroleum). Beeswax has been used by humans since ancient times not only because it smells wonderful but also because it has great properties when applied externally (skin care) or internally (nutritional benefits).

Some people like to burn sage to cleanse the air.

Sage is a cleansing and purifying herb. It helps you clear your mind, focus, and find inner peace. Sage is used in many rituals to cleanse the air, mind, body and spirit.

To use this herb for cleansing: Create a sacred space where you can light sage as an offering to Mother Earth & Father Sky (or whatever higher power you believe in). Once the room has been cleared of any negative energy from past events or people coming into contact with it—light some incense sticks made from dried leaves from a large bundle of fresh ones (usually sold at most grocery stores). Then walk around the room blowing out candles until all lights are extinguished except for those coming from your two incense burning brightly on either side of each other near ceiling level.

Then it's time to take out your journal.

Now that you've identified your intentions and why you want them, it's time to take out your journal. Your intention is the driving force behind this process and should be written down in simple terms. For example, if one of your intentions is to improve your writing skills, then write "I will learn how to use my voice as an author."

This may look like a lot of work—and it is! But if you don't do this step now, how will you remember what all these ideas were later? Plus, when you start working through each intention with steps 1-7 below, we'll also want some space here on our own page so we can write down notes about what worked (or didn't) during our process!

You can also carve your intentions into a crystal, like rose quartz, in order to amplify the power of your ritual.

You can also carve your intentions into a crystal, like rose quartz, in order to amplify the power of your ritual. Rose quartz is a crystal that is soft, gentle and feminine. It is said to help with healing and calming for yourself or others. It also has properties that help you release negative energy as well as clear out any trapped emotions within your body through its gentle vibrations. This stone would be perfect for carving into an astral altar as it will allow you to focus on getting rid of negative feelings while you meditate or perform other daily tasks that require introspection.

Finally, there's the new moon meditation. You can do this on your own or with family and friends.

If you're looking for an easy way to quiet your mind and relax, consider trying meditation. It can be done solo or with others, in any environment and at any time of day.

In this practice, you'll focus on breathing deeply while being mindful of what's going on around you—in other words, focusing on the moment rather than letting yourself get caught up in thoughts about the past or future. This practice will help ground you in the present moment while helping clear your head of stressors that may be preventing you from enjoying life fully right now.

This ceremony will help you focus and get clear on your goals for the future.
